About Macro Pig

Most professional traders are taught to manage risk first. Diversify. Cap position sizes. Stay within the guardrails.

Yet many of history’s greatest traders made their fortunes doing something very different. They waited for exceptional opportunities, concentrated capital when conviction was high, and pressed their advantage as the market confirmed their thesis.

We believe there’s a lesson in the contradiction.

Markets repeat themselves

Markets are unpredictable, but not entirely unknowable. Human behavior repeats. So do the cycles of fear, greed, liquidity, and positioning that drive prices.

We believe these recurring patterns, combined with an understanding of the broader macro cycle, create opportunities to trade with an edge.

The challenge is recognizing those patterns, understanding where the market sits in the cycle, and having the patience to wait for the right setup.

How we trade

  1. Recognize the pattern. Identify recurring price structures within the broader macro cycle.

  2. Find the asymmetry. Look for trades where the potential reward is many times the defined risk.

  3. Wait for confirmation. A compelling thesis isn’t enough. Price has to start proving it right.

  4. Press the advantage. Add size as the trade confirms through higher pivots and follow-through. Conviction grows with confirmation, not just opinion.

  5. Let price manage the risk. Use those same pivots to determine when to reduce exposure or exit.

Why concentration matters

Diversification protects against being wrong. But too much diversification can also dilute the rewards of being right.

Exceptional opportunities are rare. When a recognizable pattern, compelling asymmetry, and market confirmation align, we believe the right response is to concentrate capital, not diversify away the opportunity.

That doesn’t mean betting big on every idea. It means being selective enough to bet big when the odds are unusually favorable.

You don’t need more trades. You need to make the right trades count.

The proof is in the trades

Every campaign trade since January 2025 is documented here. Open and closed. Entries, additions, exits, wins, losses, and lessons learned.

No hypothetical track record. No hiding the mistakes.

The thesis, the execution, and the results are here for you to judge.
